Prices/ Dispatch

We aim to simplify the process and prices for all our users, avoiding the complex calculations shown on the websites of other sperm banks. We achieve this as follows:

1. We provide only two dispatch modalities: sperm samples for in vitro fertilisation and sperm samples for artificial insemination.
2. We are responsible for the samples until they are delivered. We are therefore responsible for incidents occurring during transport and cover the costs of delivery and the samples themselves. In this case, we either return the amount paid or repeat the order, at no cost to the addressee. This is the currently the only guarantee of its kind in the world.
3. As we only deliver to reproduction clinics, the best way to reduce costs, in view of our unique transport guarantee, is to request a minimum number of samples to provide the clinic with a minimum stock of donors.

Our prices have been calculated with this in mind.
The calculation is a very simple one:
Minimum order : 1,500 euros.

Price of samples

Samples for artificial insemination, with at least 20 million spermatozoa with progressive motility after thawing:

125 euros per sample

Samples for in vitro fertilisation, with at least 10 million spermatozoa with progressive motility after thawing:

90 euros per sample

 

Delivery costs to capital and principal cities in Europe, Central and South America

(defined as cities with airports, where the samples do not have to travel from the airport to a centre in another city):

• Ask for fees for orders up to 2,500 euros
• 400 euros for orders from 2,500 to 6,250 euros
• 300 euros for orders from 6,250 y 12,500 euros
• 200 euros for orders from 12,500 y 18,750 euros
• 100 euros for orders from 18,750 y 25,000 euros
• Free of transport costs for orders of more than 25,000 euros

How are orders dispatched?

Dispatch format

Samples can be provided in two different formats, depending on the donor:

• Cryotube with a frozen sperm sample, generally containing 2.5 ml
• Cryotube with pills of the frozen sperm sample, 2.5 or 5 ml
• In any event, regardless of the format, the sperm samples contain the same minimum amount of spermatozoa with progressive motility after thawing, depending on the use for which they are intended (AI or IVF).

 

The duly identified cryotubes contain a total of:

• In vitro fertilisation: at least 10 million progressive mobile spermatozoa after thawing, which should result in a suitable number of spermatozoa recovered after processing for this treatment.
• Artificial insemination: at least 20 million progressive mobile after thawing, which should result in a suitable number of spermatozoa recovered after processing for this treatment.

Transport company

The IVI International Sperm Bank's official international transport company is World Courier. This company has over 40 years' experience in the international transport of products requiring refrigeration and human biological samples.

Products are guaranteed during transport, so the addressee is sure of receiving them in a good condition. Should a problem arise during transport, however, the Bank will send you new samples or return your money.

The samples are dispatched in dry ice to maintain an appropriate temperature and protect the samples. The container is disposable, which is economically more beneficial for the centre ordering the product.

We have safely dispatched thousands of containers of this kind without incident, unlike the use of tanks of liquid nitrogen, which are more sensitive to handling and need to be returned, thus increasing transport costs.

The amount of ice depends on the duration of transport, but the cold chain remains intact as containers are filled at several points en route, always ensuring the existence of an appropriate quantity.

Deliveries are accompanied with a packing list describing the samples, the physical characteristics of each of the donors included in the pack, and instructions for identifying and using the samples.
